Possibly while reading this article, you want it to end as soon as possible or you may not even be encouraged to finish it.
But it is not because I will be rude only; but because you will discover that I am right in what I say and it is even possible that you feel shame, demotivation or even anger.
So I warn you.
Keep reading only at your own risk.
Do you want to know why you don't get a good job?
I'm going to give you some reasons and just one piece of advice. For every reason you read, I challenge you to change your mindset to keep you from repeating that bad habit that is holding back your chances of getting a good job.
If you got here, you agree with me.
Watch below the video of this article on “Why don't you get a good job” or you can also do it through my YouTube channel where you will find many more videos.
# 1 – YOU DON'T GET A GOOD JOB BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT
Do you not mind working as a security guard as an office worker?
Is working in the field the same as in a comfortable air-conditioned office?
Doesn't it matter if you work as an advertising creative or as a process manager?
Until you define what you want in life, it will be complicated that you get either your first job or a better one and I will explain why.
Getting a good job doesn't just depend on sending a resume.
Getting a good job is about analyzing what you like and what you want to specialize in, researching the companies you would like to work on, preparing the ideal curriculum to present in that type of company, preparing the form in which What are you going to do in the interview, what are you going to say?
It is even about visualizing that you will be there for many years and making sure that you really want to grow in that company.
So first decide what you are going to do with your life.
Otherwise you will end up wasting time or wasting others' time.
# 2 – YOU DON'T GET A GOOD JOB BECAUSE YOU DON'T COMMAND CURRICULUMS
Are you really desperate to get a good job?
Then you should first learn how to make a really efficient curriculum.
If you really need a good job then you will send at least 4 resumes a day to companies that interest you.
A month has 22 business days, so if you send 4 resumes per day, we are talking about 88 resumes per month. In at least 3 months you will have sent 264 resumes.
I don't think you don't really find a good job. At least something temporary until you stabilize or get out of the “zero income” situation in which you find yourself.
In short, if you don't send at least 10 resumes per month, then don't really worry about getting or changing jobs.
# 3 – YOU DON'T GET A GOOD JOB BECAUSE YOU ARE FLOJO
I'm sorry but it's true.
If you are going hungry, then you should move as much as possible as soon as possible.
If you live in your parents' house and that is why you have the luxury of taking your time, then you are lazy.
If you have a job, even if you don't like it and you don't do anything about it, you are also lazy.
In short, be the reason you have to get or change jobs, if you don't do it, you are not giving more of yourself, You are comfortable or you are too lazy.
Remember Einstein's famous phrase:
Stupidity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.
# 4 – YOU DO NOT GET A GOOD WORK BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT PREPARING
Good jobs require you to prepare.
And I don't mean exclusively that you have a university education. There are many people in the world who are successful and did not finish college.
I mean you read, train yourself, participate in courses or workshops, consume blogs, have culture, specialize in something, master something in particular.
This is like buying a product. A generic will always have less value than a branded product.
You decide if you are a generic, fully replaceable and common employee, or you are an employee with added value.
# 5 – YOU DON'T GET GOOD EMPLOYMENT BECAUSE YOU DEMOTIVATE
Unless you are a guru or a specialist in something, do not expect to be hired automatically when you send your first resume.
What's more, you may send a dozen or hundreds before they call you.
Are you going to let this really demotivate you?
Companies want people who are hard-working, motivated, focused, and fight to grow. So stop demotivating yourself and use that negative mentality to transform it into fuel.
Do you hate the world because it doesn't give you a good job? Then fill yourself with anger and become the best professional on the planet and show the world that you were wrong.
As always you choose. The half empty glass or the half full glass.
# 6 – YOU DON'T GET A GOOD JOB BECAUSE YOU LOSE TIME
One day has 24 hours, of which 8 are usually used in a job.
If you don't have a job, then invest 8 hours of your life in looking for it.
I bet you don't.
I knew it.
So what are you investing in that time?
Going out with friends, watching TV, eating an ice cream pot while crying, on Facebook, playing Candy Crush.
I bet you that if you spend 8 hours a day looking for a good job, improving your skills, becoming more professional, in less than a month you will possibly be in one.
# 7 – YOU DON'T GET A GOOD EMPLOYMENT BECAUSE YOU CANNOT SELL
I know a lot of people who say they don't like selling or tell me they don't know how to do it.
In truth everyone knows how to sell.
Whether to get a partner, to get your parents to let you party or even for your friends to follow you in an idea, all those situations are sales.
The problem is that many dominate the art of selling in everyday life, but Very few know how to apply it to professional life.
Learn to sell, but especially to sell yourself at work.
I myself have hired people who had no experience in jobs, but who knew how to sell very well and that told me a lot about those kinds of people.
# 8 – YOU DON'T GET A GOOD WORK BECAUSE YOU ARE AFRAID
Are you terrified of leaving your comfort zone?
Are you terrified of having to work hard?
Are you terrified of having commitments?
I can follow the list, but I have discovered that Many people don't get a good job because something terrifies them.
Since his parents take him out of his house, to make commitments. From having to take care of doing something, to maturing.
Moreover, many are terrified of the idea of failure.
So before moving on to the next point, stop being so fearful or fearful. Fear paralyzes or motivates you.
Again you choose how to react.
# 9 – YOU DON'T GET A GOOD WORK BECAUSE YOU ARE AFRAID TO FAIL
I'm going to tell you a story.
At school I had a classmate who appeared every week with a new girlfriend and was not a Brad Pitt that we say. One day I decided to ask him about his technique, since it was extremely striking.
Do you know what his technique was? Do not fear failure and try.
Every Friday and Saturday he went out to different clubs in the city and set the goal of talking with at least 10 women. In summary, every weekend I spoke to 20 women (a number not bad). A month those 20 women became 80 and a year those 80 into 960 women.
In short, my friend talked with 1,000 women a year.
Many said no or did not pay attention, but many others did.
He didn't care about those women who didn't pay attention to him, because his goal was the ones that did.
So I recommend you follow his advice (not to talk to women) of Stop worrying if you fail or not.
Again, at this moment you are broke, without income or in a job that does not do you good. That should worry you more.
# 11 – YOU DON'T GET A GOOD JOB BECAUSE YOU DON'T COMMIT TO YOU
Working is not about making your parents, your partner or your friends happy.
Nor is it to show that you earn a better salary or have more or less benefits.
Working is about dignity, but mainly dignity with oneself.
In the long run, you must remember that the only person who will always be by your side until the end of your days is you. You cannot free yourself from that, but you can commit.
Life is full of right and wrong decisions, but there is a decision in which you should not fail and that is to commit to yourself.
Do not fail, just that.
I hope these tips will help you get your first good job or even to change jobs.
I congratulate you for getting here, I'm sure you felt many things inside of you while reading this. Excellent, it means that you are still human and that you are in time to change.
As always, I thank you for your time and wish you the best, make the decision you make.
